AN ORDINANCE MENDING SECTION 1568, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, relating to public offenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1568, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1920, relating to public offenses, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 1568.:BILLIARD AND POOL TABLES AND BOWLING
ALLEYS. SUNDAY RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful for any
person to suffer or permit the use of any public billiard or
pool table on the first day of the week commonly called Sunday.
It shall be unlawful for any person to suffer or
permit the use of any public bowling alley or nine or ten pin
alley on Sunday where such alley is operated in the same room
or in connection with any room containing pool, billiard or
card tables, or paraphernalia for the playing of any other
games.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall become effective im—
mediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
publication.
