AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 607 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on February 29, 1940, re-
lating to the Law Department.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 607 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on February 29, 1940, relat-
ing to the Law Department, be and the, same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
SEC. 607. COMPENSATION. The compensation of the offi-
cers in the Law Department shall be such as may be fixed by
,j the board of commissioners, not to exceed the amounts stated
as follows: city attorney, $4920.00 per annum; two assistant
city attorneys, each $3720.00 per annum; one assistant city
attorney, $3120.00 per annum, (which amounts include the
$10.00 as provided in Bill No. 9, published April 23, 1943). 4
1 Such compensation shall be paid monthly. 1
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective F uary 1, 1944.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take e , uary 1, 1944.
