AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sec. 20-23-8 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to dumping restrictions.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 20-23-8 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to dumping restrictions, be,
and the same hereby is, amended by adding the following:
"Sec. 20-23-8. Dumping restrictions. All licensed waste
disposal contractors' vehicles will be permitted to dump
only in such places as are designated by the city engineer
and the board of health and shall be subject to such rules
and regulations as may be formulated regulating such dumping.
No such licensed waste disposal contractors' vehicle shall
collect any garbage or refuse outside the corporate limits
of Salt Lake City and dump the same at the designated City
Garbage Dump and a violation of this provision shall be
grounds for revocation of such license after notice to the
licensee and opportunity to be heard before the board."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of
the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah
this 17th day of January , 1967.
