An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 288 of the Re- vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah.: SECTION 1. That Section 288 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt I;I fake` City be, and the same hereby is amended and re-enacted so as to ' , read as follovzs;, SECTION 288,. ^'WARD OF -I ALTH. APPOITT+J 7T. COTE"SATION The Mayor shall, by:and with the advice and consent of the Council, ,appoj st, 4*inFg the term for which he is elected a Board or Health, oo*sisting of a Health Commissioner, who shall be a grattiate of a „reputable medical college, and two other II Citizens. The Mayor shall be ex-officio chairman of the Board. The compensation of each member of the Board of Health (ex- elusive of the Mayor and the Health Commissioner) is hereby fixed at five ($5.00) dollars for each meeting attended. The T 1 Health Commissioner shall receive as compensation, in full for all services rendered the City, a salary of twelve hundred ($1200.00) dollars per annu , payable monthly as are the sala- ries of other city officers. ICI I I �I The Mayor shall also, by and with the advice and consent of the Council, appoint, during the term for which he is elect- ed, one Assistant Health Commissioner, who shall be a graduate of a reputable medical college, and who shall do such acts and I _ perform such duties pertaining to the Health Department of the City as may be delegated to, and required of him by the Health Commissioner accordin& to law; and who shall receive as compen- sation, in full for all services rendered the City, a salary of II nine hundred ($900.00) dollarsannum, payable monthly per a able as are the salaries of other city officers. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
