AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of
property in hewer District No. 1, (Sewer Extension No. 448) for
the purpose of constructing a sewer.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described"in Sewer District:
No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 448) for the purpose of constructing
a sewer, to-wit:
In Lots 2 to 9 incl. of Blk. 1 and Lots 1 and 14
to 20 incl. of Blk. 2, L. R. Rockwell's lst Add., Lots 14
and 17 of Blk. 2, Thomas Sub. of Blk. 16, 5-Acre Plat A;
Lots 15 and 16 of Blk. 16, 5 Acre Plat A; Lots 9 and 11,
Pearl's Sub. and Lot 1, William's Sub., of Blk. 11, 5 Acre
Plat C, Lots 2 and 3 of Blk. 11, 5 Acre Plat C, Big Field
Survey; Lots 2, 3 and 4 of Blk. 147, Lots 1 to 4 incl. of
Blks. 148 and 149, Lots 1 and 4 of Blk. 150, Lots 1 and 2
of Bike. 160, 161 and 162, all in Plat D, Salt Lake City
Survey; abutting on both sides of llth Avenue from "E" to
"H" Streets; both sides of "E", "F" and "G" Streets from
10th to llth Avenues; both sides of McClelland Street from
Harrison to Emerson Avenues; and both sides of Logan Avenue
from 13th to 14th East Streets.

This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
'ia vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inches in diameter, including
manholes, flush tanks and ys for house connections, all complete,
upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbe-
fore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and bene-,
fited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined
and established that said property will be especially benefited
;•,thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said par-
:oels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate in accordance
with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets
fronting upon and to the entire depth of said parcels of land back
iitherefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said
parcels of land is Seven Thousand Two Hundred One and 29/100
(§7,201.29) Dollars or One and 208/1000 ($1.208) Dollars per front
for linear foot of abutting property for half rate, there being
5961.33 feet abutting said improvement, which is the total abutters'
cost and cost per front foot of said sewer according to the don-
tract entered into for the performance of said work and making
said improvement with J. L. Griffith Co., Contractor, dated the
��125th day of November, 1925, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized
and directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this
ordinance for the purposes herein mentioned:

NEOTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
*ualization and Review of the property described in Section I
of this ordinance in Sewer District. No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 44B1
of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of constructing a sewer upon
said portions of said streets, is hereby confirmed, and the assess;
j,menta. made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of!

hthe Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION 3. Said tax shall be payable in five equal
'llyearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest
ton the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum,
;payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any in-
I!
::stallment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the
;same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at
the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per •
,cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed..
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effeet one day
