AN ORDINANC% DESIGNATING IND SITTING L,SIDE a certain
portion of Salt Lake City as a residence district, and preventing
the erection, construction, operation or maintenance of certain
businesses therein and for the safe-guarding and protection of
traffic upon the streets in said district and for the safe-guarding
and protection of all property therein.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah.
SECTION I. First vilest Street in Salt Lake City has
heretofore been designated and set aside by the Board of Commis-
sioners of said city as a boulevard and thoroughfare for light
traffic and North Temple Street within the district hereinafter
described is a boulevard, and inasmuch as certain industries
and businesses would create additional fire hazards in the dis-
trict hereinafter described and it is necessary to protect such
district from said additional fire hazards and also to protect
and safe-guard traffic upon .the streets in said district, and
inasmuch as the district hereinafter described is a residential
district, there is hereby designated and set aside as a residence
district a portion of Salt Lake City contained and included with-
in the following described boundaries, to-wit:

Commencing at a point on the west line of Main
Street 165 ft. north of the Southeast corner of Block 94,
Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey and running thence west along
a line 365 feet north of the north line of North Temple Street
1287 feet to a point 165 feet east of the east line of Wirst
West Street, thence north along a line 165 ft. east of the
east line of 1st West street, 4681.8 ft. to the south line of
e'ern Ave., thence west 462 ft. to a point 165 ft. west of thel
