AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 607 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to the Law Department.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 607 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to the Law Department, be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 607. COMPENSATION. The compensation of the
officers thn the law department shall be such as may bw fixed
by the board of commissioners, not to exceed the amounts
stated as follows; city attorney, $4800.00 per annum; two
assistant city attorneys, each $3600.00 per annum; one assist-
ant city attorney $2880.00,per annum. Such compensation shall
be paid monthly.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
