AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 158 of the Traffic Code of Salt
Lake City, Utah, relating to restriction on the use of parking meters.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 158 of the Traffic Code of Salt Lake
City, Utah, relating to restrictions on the use of parking meters be,
and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new subsection
(3) relating to the possession of keys to open parking meters by
unauthorized persons to read as follows:
"Sec. 158. Restrictions on use of meters. Slugs, keys,
etc. * * *
«* * *
" (3) It shall be unlawful fa any person not authorized
by Salt Lake City Corporation to have in his possession or on
his person any key which will open the coin box of any parking
meter in the streets of Salt Lake City."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 2nd day of February 197 j
