AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 24 of Title 20 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, by adding thereto new sections
20-24-41, 20-24-42 and 20-24-43: relating to licensing of paint spray
operations.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 24 of Title 20 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965,: relating to miscellaneous business
licenses, be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding sections 20-24-41,
20-24-42 and 20-24-43, relating to licensing of paint spray operations,
as follows:
"Sec. 20-24-41. Paint spray operations defined. Paint spray
operations shall mean any process whereby flammable or cumbustible
paint, varnish, lacquer, stain or other flammable or combustible
liquid is applied by disbursing such liquid in the form of a
spray by any means whatsoever in a continuous or intermittent
process.
"Sec. 20-24-42. Id. license required. It shall be unlawful
for any person to engage in the business of paint spray operations
without first obtaining a license to do so.
"Sec. 20-24-43. Id. license fee. The license fee for
engaging in the business of paint spray operations shall be
$20.00 per annum, or any part thereof."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the health, peace and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 29thday of January , 1976.
