An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on the east side of Thirteenth East Street from the south side of
First South Street to the north side of Second South Street, in
Paving District No. 27, for the purpose of providing for the curbing
and guttering thereof.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
described in Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 32, Plat "F", Salt Lake City
Survey, abutting on the east side of Thirteenth East Street from the
south side of First South Street to the north side of Second South
Street, in Paving District No. 27, said property having a frontage
of 660 feet along said street.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of curbing and gutter-
ing with cement (sad gutter to be thirty (30) inches wide) said
portion of said street opposite the property hereinafter described
to b e especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it
is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will be
especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby
levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and
uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said
portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five
(25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be
assessed upon said parcels of land is eight hundred and twenty-five
($825.00) dollars, or one and 25/100 ($1.25) dollars per front or
linear foot, which is the estimated total cost and estimated cost
per linear foot of said aisxemt curb and gutter, and tile Treasurer is
hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the pro-
visions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned, All of
Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 32, Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey, as
the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth
of twenty-five (25) feet back from saia street, a.ol to collect said
tax.

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six (6)
equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall be-
come delinquent one month after the approval of this ordinance; one
sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-sixth thereof in
two years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in three years af-
ter such approval; onpysixth thereof in four years after such appro-
val; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such approval. Each
and every installment of said tax except the first,,-shall draw in-
terest at the rate of six per cent per annum from date of levy until
delinquent, and each and every installment of said tax shall bear
interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum from and after its
date,of delinquency.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
