AN ORDINANCE VACATING certain streets and alleys in the vicinity
of North Temple and South Temple Streets, between 9th West and the Jordan
of the
River, l00%/abutting property owners having petitioned for the vacation.
0, Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:

SECTION 1 . That certain streets and alleys in the vicinity of North

a, Temple and South Temple Streets between 9th West and the Jordan River, more
"-particularly described as follows, be, and the same hereby are, vacated and
m• declared no longer to be public property for use as a street, avenue, alley
or pedestrian way:
o South Temple Street
O Beginning at the Northeast corner of Block 53, Plat "C", Salt
o Lake City Survey; thence West 1592.0 feet more or less to East
a Bank of Jordan River; thence Northerly along the East bank of Jordan
c bt River to a point due West of the Southwest corner of Block 55, Plat
"C", Salt Lake Cthty Survey, said point also being on the North line
tr of South Temple Street; thence East along the North line of South
�. • Temple Street to the Southeast corner of Block 56, Plat "C" Salt
a. Lake City Survey; thence South 137.04 feet to the point of beginning.

Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block 56, Plat "C", Salt
Lake City Survey; thence South 660 feet to the Southwest corner of

Block 55, of aforesaid Plat "C"; thence North 660.0 feet to the
Northeast corner of said Block 55; thence East 132.07 feet to the
point of beginning.
Alley
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1 , Bothwell
McConaughy subdivision, of Block 56, Plat "C" Salt Lake City
Survey; thence West 12.0 feet; thence North 140.25 feet; thence East
12.0 feet; thence South 140.25 feet to the point of beginning.
Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights of
way and easements of all public utilities of any and every description now
located in, on, under or over the confines of the above described property;
and also subject to the rights of entry thereon for the altering or rerouting
said utilities and all of them.

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City It is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City, Utah that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board ofCommissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
18th day of August, 1960.
