owners of real property in the tract of lend hereinafter described
signed, and filed with the City Recorder of Salt Lake City a peti-
tion requesting that said tract of land be taken within the limits
of Salt Lake City, and be made a part of said city, and also caused
en accurate map and plat of said tract of land to be made by a
competent surveyor, and certified by the City Engineer, to be file
with the City Recorder; and
':.'HEPJN.S, The above territory is contiguous to Salt Lake City,
end no proper reason exists why it should not be made a part of
said city; and
';:HEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, after
examining said petition of said owners of said plat, $nd having
considered the circumstances surrounding the same, voted by a vote
of four-fifths of all members of the Board of Commissioners in
favor of said annexation, and directed the City Attorney to prepare
en ordinance making and declaring said annexation; THi1,3,10tP,
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the city limits of Salt Lake City be, and
the same are hereby extended and enlarged so as to include the
following described tract of land in Salt Lake County being a
portion of Sections 7 and 8, Township 1 south, Range 1 east, Salt
Lake Base and Meridian, bounded on the north by Tenth South Street,

on the east by State Street, on the south by Eleventh South Street
and on the west by Main Street, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the south line of
Tenth South Street and the west line of State Street, being; a rock
monument which is 64.01 feet west and 40.46 feet south of a stone
city monument at the intersection of Tenth South and State itreets,
running thence south 0° 04' 08" west 2876.13 feet to a rock monu-
ment at the northwest corner of Eleventh South and State Streets
being 68.90 feet west and 36.55 feet north of a stone city moniy e*nt
at the intersection of Eleventh South and State Streets; thence
south 0° 03' 29" west 66.12 feet to a rock monument at the so44411.,
