AN ORDINANCE
Result .
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING the Traffic Code of Salt Lake City
by adding thereto a new Section 144.1, relating to prohibited
parking, except on Sundays and legal holidays.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Traffic Code of Salt Lake City,
be, and it hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new Section
144.1, relating to prohibited parking, to read as follows:
"Sec. 144.1. Parking prohibited except on Sundays
and holidays on certain streets. When signs or traffic
markings are erected or in place, giving notice thereof,
no person shall park a vehicle or permit such vehicle
to remain standing at any time, except on Sundays or on
any legal holiday on the following street:
University Street, east side, from 1st South Street
to 4th South Street."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabi-
tants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 25th day of November, 1969.
