Hall 44, • Phillips r Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 4, Title 25, Section 14 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to longevity pay. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Chapter 4, Title 25, Section 14 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to longevity pay, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows: Sec. 25-4-14. Longevity pay. In addition to the salaries herein provided, every officer and employee who has completed fourteen (14) consecutive full years of employment with the City, shall, after his or her fifteenth (15th) anniversary date, receive a monthly longevity benefit, in the sum of five percent (5%) of said employee's monthly salary, said sum not to exceed $61.50 per month. Compensation provided for hereunder shall be payable to eligible employees for periods of employment commencing April 1, 1978. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
