Home My WebLink About101 of 1980 - Vacating an alley running North from Hollywood Avenue between Main and Major Streets. ir/ SALT LALE CITY ORDINANCE No. 101 of 1980 (Vacation of an Alley) AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 1, STATE STREET ADDITION, WHICH 17' ALLEY RUNS NORTH FROM HOLLYWOOD AVENUE BETWEEN MAIN AND MAJOR STREETS. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the 17' alley running north from Hollywood Avenue between Main and Major Streets in Salt Lake City, Utah, more particularly described below, be, and the same hereby is vacated and declared no longer to be needed or available for use as a street, avenue, alley, or pedestrian way. Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 1, State .' Street Addition, a subdivision of Lot 19, Block 6, Five Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey; and thence running north 254.66 feet, more or less, along the rear lot line of Lots 1 through 10 of said subdivision to the northeast corner of Lot 10 of said subdivision; thence east 17 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 11, thence south along the rear lot lines of Lots 11 through 20 of said subdivision 254.66 feet, more or less, to the southwest corner of Lot 20 of said subdivision, thence west 17 feet to the point of beginning. Said vacation is made expressly SUBJECT TO all existing rights-of-way and easements of all public utilities of any and every description now located on, in, under or over the confines of the above-described property, if any; and also SUBJECT TO the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of maintaining altering, repairing, replacing, removing or rerouting said utilities and all of them. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication. Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 23rd day of September , 1980.
