103 of 1905 - Ordinance 103 of 1905 – Sewer Extension No. 165. AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on both sides of Seventh Street between B and C Streets, in Sewer
District No. 1, for the construction of a sewer.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt hake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
described in Lots Nos. 3 and 4, Block 96, and 1 and 2, Block 101,
Plat "D", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of Seventh
Street between B and C Streets, in Sewer District No. 1, said prop-
erty having a frontage of 610 feet along said street.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of construc4ting a
vitrified pipe sewer eight inches in diameter upon sai) portion of
said street opposite the property hereinafter described to be es-
pecially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is here-

by adjudged, determined and established that the same will be es-
pecially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby
levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and
uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said
portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five
(25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be
assessed upon said parcels of land isffour hundred and twenty-seven
($427.00) dollars, or 70-100 ($0.70) dollars per front or linear
foot, which is the estimated total cost -and e .t.imated cost per fromi
foot of said sewer, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and di-
rected to assess in accordance with the provisions of this o rdinanec
for the purpose herein mentioned, a]1 of Lot 3 and the west 140 fees
of Lot 4, Block 96, all of Lot 2, and the west 140 feet of Lot 1,
Block 101, Plat "D", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown
upon the official plats of said City to a depth of twenty-five (25)
feet back from said street, and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six

equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall be-
come and be delinquent one month after the approval of this ordi-
nance; one-sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-sixth
thereof in two years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in three
years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in four years after
such approval; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such appro-
val. Each an every installment of said tax except the first, shall
draw interest at the rate of six per cent per annum.frthn date of
levy unti.�. delinquent, and each and every installment,.of said tax
shall beti, interest at the rate of eight per cent per\4pnum from and
after its;;date of delinquency.
SEC7t,TON 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
