103 of 1911 - Ordinance 103 of 1911 – Sewer Extension No. 290, First & Final Estimate. AN 0n DINANCE .
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on both sides of Fletcher's Court between Ninth East and. Tenth Eas
Streets, in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a sewer.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax an,
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinaft r
described, in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a sews ,
to-wit:
In Lot 7, Block 29, Plat "B", abutting on both sides of 'let-
cher's Court between Ninth East and 'tenth East Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a
vitrified pip. sewer eight (8) inohee in diameter upon the portion
of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter
described to be especially affected and benefited by said improve-
ment, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that
said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full
amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are here
by assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the
linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street fronting
upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and
the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land
is four hundred seventy-two and 28/100 0472.28) dollars, or one
and 19112232/100,000,000 01.19112232) dollars per front or linear
foot of abutting property, there being 396.5 feet of abutting prop
erty within the boundaries of the lot, block and street above men-
tioned in said district, which is the total cost and cost per fron.

Johnson, dated the 18th day of August, 1911, and the Treasurer is
hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned;

Lot 7, the north 198.5 feet of the south 206.5 feet of the west
side of the east 92.5 feet of Lot 7, Block 29, Plat "B", Salt Lake
City Survey, as the sane are shown upon the official plats of said
city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street,
and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid a,
the rate of six per cent. per annum, payable at the time each in-
stallment is due, to-wit: One:-fifth thereof one year after the ap
proval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the day
ment for such improvement; ;'one-fifth thereof- in two years after
such approval; one-fifth thereof in three years after such approv ;
one-fifth thereof in four years after such approval; and one-fifth
thereof in five years after such approval. One or more of said in
stallments, in the order in which they are payable, or tae whole
special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty days after the
approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax, without
interest. In the event of any installment or the interest afore-
said not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the whole
amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and
interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall drew in-
terest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale of t.:
