105 of 1904 - Ordinance 105 of 1904 – Amending & re-enacting Section 323, re: saloons in connection with restaur AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 323 of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake Cites.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Ut:- :
SECTION 1. That Section 323 of the Revised Ordinances of Snit
Lake City he, and the sae hereby is amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:-
SECTION 323. It shall be unlawful for any person or per-
sons keeping or conducting any saloon or restaurant or hotel or
other establishment or resort of any kind within the limits of
this City to have or keep in connection with or as a part of or
adjacent to such saloon, restaurant, hotel or other establish-
ment or resort any wine room, booth, stall or private room,
apartment or place, or place partitioned off. or concealed by
curtaino r curtains, or screen or screens, to which any female
or females are admitted, and in which any beer or alcoholic
liquor is served to such female or females; and it shall be un-
lawful for any proprietor, servant or employee of or in any
saloon, restaurant, hotel or other establishment or resort, or
for any; erson therein to sell, barter, dispose of, serve or
give any beer, alcoholic liquor or beverage,or any drink or
beverage containing any alcohol to any female person in any
such wine room, booth, stall or private apartment or garden or
or
other olace,^to any person either male or female in the company
of or in the presence of any female person in such place, or in
any saloon, rstaurant, hotel, rooming house or establishment
or resort at any time between the hours of seven P. H. and
seven A. N. ; and it shall be unlawful to employ or to permit to
be employed any female person in any capacity, in or about any
saloon, restaurant, establishment, garden, or resort in which
beer or alcoholic liquor or any drink containing any beer or
intoxicating liquor is sold, given away or disposed of;

Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. The Council may and shall
revoke the license of any saloon, restaurant, hotel or estab-
lishment or resort in which any violation of this ordinance
occurs.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
