105 of 1905 - Ordinance 105 of 1905 – Sidewalk Extension No. 96. AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on the east side of Tenth Eaet Street between First South and Second
, South Streets, in Sidewalk District No. 23, for the construction of
a cement sidewalk.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter

described in Lots Nos. 4 and 5, Block 29, Plat "F", Salt Lake City
Survey, abutting on the east side of Tenth East Street between First
South and Second South Streets, in Sidewalk District No. 23, said
property having a frontage of 660 feet along said. street.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a
cement sidewalk six feet wide and four inches thick upon said portion
of said street opposite the property hereinafter described to be es-
pecially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby
adjudged, determined and established that the same will be especially
benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and
said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate
in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portion of said
street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back
therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said
parcels of land is seven hundred and ninety-two (. 792.00) dcl" ;.ra, or
one and 20/100 (t 1.20) dollars per :.'rent or linear foot, which is
the estimated total cost and estimated cost per linear foot of said
sidewalk, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to
assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the
purpose herein mentioned, all. of Lots 4 •sii 5, Block 29, Plat "F",
Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats
of said City to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said
street, and to collect said tax.

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six
equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall
become and be delinquent one month after the approval of this ordi-
nance; ,one-sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-sixth
thereof in two years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in three
years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in four years after
such approval; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such ap;>ro-
val. Each and' every installment of said tax except' the first, shall
draw interest at the rate of six-per cent per annUst from-date of
levy until delinquent, and each and every installment of said tax
shall bear interest at the rate of eipht per cent per annum from and
after its date of delinquency.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
