Section 1. That Sections 218, 21S, 220 and, 221 of Chapter XV1I, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake Sit - of 1903, be, and the same hereby are amended and re-enacted so as to read anfollows: SECTION 218. OFFICERS. CA o+ BOOKS. RECEIPTS. All el::ctive and appointive officers shall be strictly accountable for all foes and moneys collected .C.i or paid to them or to any deputy or assistant i.r, their respective departments. It shall be the duty of ever . officer ,, e is authorized to receive any fees for official. services of himself or his deputies or assistants, or of any officer or his deputis_; or assistants who are authorized to make any collections, to keep a cash book in which shall • be entered an exact and full account; in. detail of all fees, commissions, . compensations or collectionskind,of whatever nature or with the date collected, the name of the payer and the nature of toe collection in each case. The original receipt shall in all cases be given to the person, firla or corpr,ratin making payment and the duplicate shall, at the olc .e or each day'a Lo. ines, be filed with the City Auditor and the triplicate shall be retained by the officer issuing the receipt. That said Cash Book shows the full amount received in sid month and that neither myself nor to my knowledge or belief any of my deputies or assistants have rendered any official services, except for the City, whi0h is not fully set out in the said Cash Book, and that the foregoing statement is full and correct."
