to jeopardise the health, morals, peace, good order and comfort of ea d

110V1 TETIREFORE, With,the vicar of controlling the sale of cocaine,
morphine and opium:
Be it ordained by t}caUity Council of bait Lbe City, Utah:
SECTIOB 1. It hhall lie unlawful for any person, firm, associati
or corporation to sell or otherwise dispose of cocaine or morphine, o
any of its derivatives; or an i preparation wherein either is an ingre
client, or opium or laudariurd, except upon the prescription of a repu-
table practising physician, dent, 1 surgeon or vetnrinary surgeon, and
said proscription shall not be re-filled; provided, that the Z:ovidie
of this section shall not apply to sales at viholesalo by johher ,
wholesalers, and manufacturers to retail drug,74sto, nor to oale,s at
retail by retail druggists to regular practitioners of medicine, dent a-
try, or veterinary medicine, nor to sales made to manufacturers of pi- _
„irietary or pharmaceutical preparations ..2or use in the manufacture of
such preparations, nor to sales to hospitals, colleges, scientific or
public institutions.
SECTIOB 2. Any person, firm, association or corporation violatidc,
the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemean-
or, and upon conviction thereof shall be _punished by a fine of not more
than 299.00, or by imprisonment in no city jail not more than six
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTIOJ 3. This ordinance shall trace effect upon a ,i,roval.

Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lade City, Utah:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, associa-
tion or corporation to sell or otherwise dispose of cocaine, morphine,

physician, dentnl. surgeon or veterinary surgeon,)end said prescription
shall not be re-filled; provided, tient the provision 7, of thi.o section
shall not apply to soles at wholesale by jobbers, wholesalers, and
manufacturers to retail druggists, nor to soles at retail by retail
druggists to regular practitioners of medicine, dentistry, or veteri-
nary medicine, nor to sales made to manufacturers of proprietary or
pharmaceutical preparatio:.is for use in the manufacture of such prepa-
rations, nor to sales to hospitals, colleges, scientific or public
institutions.
