An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on certain streets in Douglas Park Subdivision, and on Ninth South
Street from *lax Thirteenth Fast Street to the west boundary line
of Douglas Park Subdivision, in Paving Districts Nos. 27 and 32,
and in Sidewalk Districts Dos. 23 and 40, :or tee purpose of provi. •

ing for the grading, guttering and curbing thereof, and laying
cement sidewalks thereon.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax an.
provide for the esso, sment of the sans upon the property hereinaft:r
described in Paving Districts Nos. 27 and 32, end in Sidewalk Dis-
tricts Nos. 23 and 40, for the purpoe;e of providing for the gradin„
guttering and curbing thereof, and laying cement sidewalks thereon,
to-wit:

of Ninth South Street between Amanda and Michigan Avenues; and on

described to be especially affected and benefited by said improve-
cent, and it is hereby adjudged, determined end established that

amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of load. ;:re 'Mere
by assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the
linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting
upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and t e
tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is
eleven thousand four hundred seventy and 41/100 ( p11,470.41) dolls s,
or one and 94/100 01.94) dollars per front or linear foot of abut
ting property, there being 5912.58 feet of abutting property withi
the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned,in
said districts, which is the total cost and cost per frort foot of
said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the
performance of said work and :making said improvement with Cilkorsoi
Construction Company, dated the 21st day of September, 1911, and
the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accord-
ance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein
mentioned,
Fronting on Michigan Avenue:
The north side of Lots 1 to 52, inclusive, Block 21; the sout
side of Lots 58 to 110, inclusive, the east side of Lots 113 to 130,
inclusive, the east side of Lots 133, Block 8; the west side of Lot
2, 8 and 9, Block 9; the west side of Lot 17, Block 20, Douglas
Park Subdivision.
Fronting on Fifteenth East Street:
The west side of Lots 18 and 29, Block 20; the east side of
the north 205.34 feet of Lot 44, Block 21, Douglas Park Subdivision.
Fronting on Vista Street:
The south side of Lot 9, Block 9; tc north side of _:;ots 11 to
17, inclusive, Block 20, Douglas Park Subdivision.
Fronting; on Dtnth South Street:
The north side of Lots 132, and 6 to 10, i :eluanire, „lock 8;
the south side of Lots 34 to 43, inclusive, Block 5; the south sid
of Lots 12 to 18, inclusive, Block 6, Douglas Park 3ubdivi;;ion.
Fronting on Amanda Avenue:
The east side of Lots 1 to 11, inclusive, Block 6; the west
side of Lots 26 to 31, inclusive, Block 5, Douglas Park Subdivisio ,
all in Section 9, Township 1 south, Range 1 east, as the same are
shown upon the official plats of said city to a depth of twenty- •
five (25) feet back from said streets, and.to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid
at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each in
staliment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the ap
prova.l of the ordinance confirming the legy of the tax for the pay
ment for such improvement; one-fifth thereof in two years after sush
approval; one-fifth thereof in three years after such approval; on -
fifth thereof in four years after such approval; and one-fifth
thereof in five years after such approval. One or more of said in
stallments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whole
special tax may be paid at any time within thirty days after the
approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax, without
interest. In the event of any installment or the interest aforesa d
not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the whole amount
of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interes,
are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at
the rate of eight per oent per annum until sale of the property
assessed; provided., one or more installments in the order in which
lrhey are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid may be paid on
the day any installment becomes due, by paling the amount thereof
and interest to said date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
