Romney Tedesco Mr.Chairman AN ORbl- ANCE Result AN ORDINANCE AMENDING paragraph (f) and sub-paragraph 2 of paragraph (j) of Section 6117 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to parking meter zones. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That paragraph (f) of Section 6117 of the Re- vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to park- ing meter zones, be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows: "(f) It shall be unlawful for any person to cause, allow, permit or suffer any vehicle registered in his name or oper- ated or controlled by him to be or remain in any space upon any street within a parking meter zone adjacent to which a parking meter is established for more than sixty (60) consecu- tive minutes in zones established by official order of the Chief of Police of Salt Lake City/and indicated by appropriate signs posted in such zones as provided for in Section 6116 of t these ordinances, or at any time during which the meter is displaying a signal indicating that said space is illegally in use, except during the time necessary to set the said meter to show legal parking, and excepting also, during the time from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and during legal holidays. SECTION 2. That sub-paragraph 2 of paragraph (j) of Sec- tion 6117 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt-Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to parking meter zones, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "2. Re shall attach to such vehicle a notice that it has been parked in violation of this/ ordinance and instructing the -2- owner or operator to report at the office of the clerk of the ;I City Traffic Court at the Public Safety Building of Salt Lake City in regard to such violation within a period of five (5) days thereafter." li SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective itmiediately. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
