AN ORDINANCE.
An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section
736 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of
1903.
Be it ordained by the city council o>f Salt Lake
City, Utah:
That Section 736 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903 be and the same hereby is amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 736. ASSISTANTS, APPOINTMENTS,COKPENSATION.
The Supervisor of Streets shall have the power to appoint,
during the term for which he is appointed, subject to
confirmation by the council, a chief clerk at a salary
of $1,320.00 per annum. The supervisor of streets
shall also have power to employ foremen, stablemen,engineers,
laborers and teams in such manner as the necessities of
his office may demand, and the city council authorize.
