J AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Section 918x4 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to the
department of Parks and Public Property, as amended by an
ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners June 11, 1917.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 918x4 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to the department
of Parks and Public Property, as amended by an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners June 11, 1917, be, and
the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 918x4. The Board of Commissioners may
employ the following officers, clerks and employees in
the Department of Parks and Public Property at salaries
not to exdeed the following, to-wit:
One Assistant Superintendent of Parks and Public
Property, who shall also act as florist, at a salary
of $1500.00 per annum.
It shall be the duty of the Assistant Superintendent
of Parks and Public Property to assist the Superintendent
of Parks and Public Property in the supervision of the
work, care, maintenance, improvement and beautifying of
the parks in Salt Lake City not under the control, care

and supervision of some other officer;
To act as florist at Liberty Park;
And shall do and perform such other services as shall
be required of him by the Commissioner of Parks and Public
Property.
One chief clerk at $1500.00 per annum.
Such su ervisers of play grounds and at such salaries
and for suc*terms,aiLthe Board, 4 Commissioners may
determine.

The Superintendent of Parks and Public Property shall
reside in the dwelling at Liberty Park rent free.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty-one
days after its passage.
