An ordinance amending Section 40 of Chapter 5, Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to appointments
and salaries in the Board of Health, as amended by an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners, October 21, 191B.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 40 of Chapter 5, Revised/Or-
dinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to appointments and
salaries in the Board of Health,as amended by an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners, October 21, 1918, be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 40. APPOINTHENTS. The Board of Com-
missioners may appoint the following officers, assistants
and employees of the Board of Health, who shall receive
annual salaries, payable monthly, not exceeding the
amounts as follows:
Health Commissioner .43,300.00
First Asstt. Health Commissioner... 1,620.00
Second " " " ... 1,620.00
The Health Commissioner and Assistant Health
Commissioners snall each receive the sum of 425.00 per
month for transportation and expenses.
Bacteriologist. 41,500.00
Chief Sanitary Inspector 1,800.00

SECTION II. In the opinion of the Board of Commissionj-
era it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the in-
habitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City',
Utah, this 1 ay of February, A. D., 1920.
