HomeMy WebLinkAbout11 of 1930 - Amending Section 1235, relating to salaries in the Law Department ROLL CALL VOTING AYE NAY Salt Lake City Utah Feb 24, 1e0 Burton I move that the ordinance be passed Fehr i FF L'a�e ]aoran Mr Chairman _ AN ORDINANCE Result AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1235, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Boara of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on July 3, 1924, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners on January 31, 1928, and Section 1237, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on July 3, 1924, relating to the law department Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I That Section 1235, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, as amended by an ordinance passed by the 1 Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on July 3, 1924, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners on January 31, 1928, relating to the law department, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows SECTION 1235 COMPENSATION The compensation of the officers in the law department shall be such as may be fixed by the Board of Commissioners, not to exceed the amounts stated as follows City Attorney, $4800 00 per annum, one assistant city attorney, $3900 00 per annum, one assistant city attorney, $3300 00 per annum, one assistant city attorney, $2700 00 per annum Such compensation shall be paid monthly SECTION 2 That Section 1237, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, as amendeu by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake Citylln July 3, 1924, relating to the *2* law department, be and the same is hereby amended #o read as fol- lows. SECTION 1237 CHIEF CLERK The Board of Commissioners shall employ a suitable person as Chief Clerk of the law department at a salary not exceeding $1,920 00 per annum, payable semi-monthly SECTION 3 In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become ef- fective immediately SECTION 4 This ortiinancKe shall take effect upon its i.ublication Passed by the Board of 0oknmissioners of Salt Lake City, tah, this 4th day of 'arch1__, A.
