Keyser - - - - - � f X• 'L cfti „, Matheson - - - - Murdock - - - - Mr.Chairman - - - AN ORDINANCE Result AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 647 and 672 of the Re- vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to li- censes, and amending Sections 1002 and 1003 of the Revised Ordi- nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to plumbing. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Sections 647 and 672 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to licenses, be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 2. That Sections 1002 and 1003 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to plumbing, be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows: SEC. 1002. LICENSE. BOND REQUIRED. It shall be unlawful for any person to lay any service pipe to be con- nected with the water system of Salt Lake City or to make an excavation in or within ten feet of any street in Salt Lake City unless he first obtains permission from the Super- visor of Streets and Irrigation so to do and furnishes a bond to be approved by the Board of Commissioners in the form provided in Section 1269 of these ordinances. SEC. 1003. PLUMBER'S LICENSE. FEE. It shall be unlawful for any person /to do any kind of plumbing work or to engage in or hold himself out as engaging in the trade ov business od plumbing unless he is first licensed as is hereinafter provided. The license fee for plumbers shall be $25.00 per year, or for any part thereof, and may be issued by the License Assessor and Collector upon the payment of said sum and upon 11 -2- furnishing satisfactory evidence that the applicant is registered as a journeyman plumber by the State Board of Registration. SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
