AN ORDINANCE, VACATING PORTION OF STF~ERT IN VICINITY OF
` a 3RD AVENUE AND CANYON ROAD, IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.
�1 Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah;

SECTION I. That portion of street in vicinity of 3rd
Avenue and Canyon 'Coat, in Salt Lake City, Utah, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at a point N. 29° 471 0811 E. 129.84 ft. and
N. 89° 521 52" W. 93.91 ft. from the City monument at the
intersection of 3rd Avenue and Canyon Road, said point being
located 1192.9 ft. E. and 1324.7 ft. N. of the Southwest
corner of Section 31, T. 1 N., R. 1 E., S. L. D. & M., and
running thence N. 89° 521 52" W. 26.52 ft., thence S. 19°
351 0811 W.
123.36 ft., thence N. 79° 461 33" E. 28.82 ft.,
thence N. 19° 351 08" E. 117.87 ft. to the place of beginning;
be and the same is hereby vacated and declared no longer to be
public property for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way.
Said vacation is made expressly subject to the rights of
way and easements of the Utah Light & Traction Company and the Maun-
tain States Telephone & Telegraph Company acLiuired under franchises
from Salt Lake City to maintain, repair, alter and replace the elec-
tric transmission, distribution of telegraph and telephone circuits,
lines, wires and poles of said companies, together with the necessary
stop cross-arms and other attachments thereon or affixed thereto for
the support of said electric telephone and telegraph lines, wires
and distribution circuits as now erected and maintained upon or across
the portion of said street to be closed during the life of the fran-
chises held by said companies, or any extensions thereof.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Beard of Conunlssiu„ola,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
