AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Paragraph (I) of Section 907 of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to food
and drink handlers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Paragraph (I) of Section 907 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to food and
drink handlers be and the same is hereby amended to read as fol-
lows:
"(I) Every person, before entering-oa- engaging in the menu-
',
facturing, preparation or handling of food or drink, or employed
in or around food, in a restaurant, hotel or beer parlor, and
within each and every twelve-month period thereafter shall obtain
a new 70 mm. or larger chest x-ray of himself and submit the same,
together with a fee of $1.00, to the Salt Lake City Board of Health
within five days after the same is taken, and at the time of sub-
mitting such x-ray, answer such questions pertaining to his health
as are requested by the Board of Health.'
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first pub-
lication.
