AN ORDINANCE AMENDING subsection (d) of Section 25-1-7 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended by
Bill No. 70 of 1969, relating to residency of appointed officers
and employees.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That subsection (d) of Section 25-1-7 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended by
Bill No. 70 of 1969, relating to residency of appointed officers
and employees, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as
follows:
"Section 25-1-1. * * *

"(d) The provisions of this section regarding
residency may be su pended by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City in the following situations:
(1) When the nature of the duties of an
officer or employeeirequires residency outside the above-
described boundarie$.
(2) In c se of public emergency or calamity or
war.
(3) In c se of the employment of professionally
trained experts employed upon a temporary basis.
(4) In case of special hardship because of
health consideration or financial loss.

SECTION 2. In the Ppinion of the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, it is n+essary to the peace, health and welfare
of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become
effective immediately.

SECTION 3. This ord nance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board f Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 30th day of December, 1969.
