AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 25-4-5 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City„Utah, 1965, relating to salaries and compensation
of Adult School Guards.
Be it ordained by the. Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah;
SECTION 1. That Section 25-4-5 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to salaries and compensation
of Adult School Guards, be,.and the same hereby is amended as
follows;
Sec. 25-4-.5. Salaries and compensation of Adult School
Guards. The Board of Commissioners may appoint and employ
such number of suitable persons as said Board may deem
advisable to serve as Adult School Guards, to assist school
children in crossing streets in Salt Lake City at designated
street crossings, said guards to be employed in and under
the Department of Public Safety and subject to the control
and supervision of the commissioner of that department and
to be paid a salary of $214 per month and in addition to
said salary shall receive the sum of $25 per month as a
uniform allowance.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of
the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this - 26thday of July, 1979.
