AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 2 of Bill No. 47 of 1960, relating
to the Salt Lake City Capital Improvements Trust Fund.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Bill No. 47 of 1960, relating to
the Salt Lake City Capital Improvements Trust Fund, be, and the same
hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 2. That during the short fiscal year beginning
January 1, 1962 and ending June 30, 1962, from the pro-
ceeds received by the City from the Uniform Local Sales
and Use Tax authorized by Chapter 114, Laws of Utah, 1959,
together with the proceeds from other sources, there shall
be set aside a minimum of $400,000.00 which shall be de-
posited in the Sales Tax Fund and shall be disposed of only
as hereinafter provided."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety
of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become
effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 27th day of December 1961.
