AN ORDINANCE VACATING an alley running north from 5th North Street
between 13th West and Catherine Streets, all abutting property owners
halting petitioned for the vacation.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . That the alley running north from 5th North Street between
13th West and Catherine Streets, more particularly described as follows,
be and the same hereby is, vacated and declared no longer to be public
property for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way:
"Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 3, Waverly,
a subdivision of parts of Sections 34 and 35, Township 1 North,
Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian; thence South 305.75
feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 12 of said Block 3; thence
West 18.75 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 13, of aforesaid
Block 3; thence North 305.75 feet to the Northeast corner of
Lot 24, of aforesaid Block 3; thence East 18.75 feet to the
point of beginning.
Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights of way
and easements of all public utilities of any and every description now
located in, on, under or over the confines of the above described property,
ar,d also subject to the rights of entry thereon for the altering or re-
routing said utilities and all of them.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is neces-
ty to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City,
Utah, that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
5th day of October, 1960. i
