AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sections 5-9-16(5) relating to commercial and
industrial fees, and 5-12-5(13), (29) and (30) relating to mechanical
permit fees, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 5-9-16(5) relating to commercial and indus-
trial fees, and 5-12-5(13), (29) and (30) relating to mechanical permit
fees, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, be, and the same
hereby are amended as follows:
Sec. 5-9-16. * * *
(5) Fees for installation of circuits or sub-circuits,
alteration or repair of circuits or sub-circuits
shall be computed separately in accordance with the
minimum fees above.

Sec. 5-12-5. * * *
(13) For the installation or relocation of each
boiler to and including 200,000 BTU's $ 5.00
* * *
(29) For the purpose of calculating the rate capacity
in tons for refrigeration, the tonage shall be
considered not less than the following:
a. Total maximum BTU per hour of capacity of the
installation divided by 12,000; or
b. 2/3 of the nameplate horsepower, for any
refrigeration installation 50° and lower.
(30) For the installation or relocation of compressor
or absorption systems:
1-1/2 horsepower to and including 4 horsepower
or ton 5.00
5 horsepower or ton 7.00
6 horsepower or ton 9.00
7 horsepower or ton 11.00
3 horsepower or ton 13.00
9 horsepower or ton 15.00
10 horsepower or ton 17.00
for each additional horsepower or ton 1.50
maximum fee shall not exceed $250.00 per unit
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after after its
first publication.
