An ordinance levying a tax and for the rise.;sment of property
on both sides of Strong's Court between Third south and Fourth South
Streets, in 5canr District No. I, fan the construction of a sewer.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Sllt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the asseUsncnt of the cane upen ,,he property nooeiusfter
described in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a sewer,
to-wit;
In Lots 2 and 7, "lock 41, "B", abutting on both- sides of
Strong's Court between Third South and Fourth South Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a vitri-
died pipe sewer eight (8) inches in diameter upon the portion of said

street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described
to be especially affected and benefited by said improveaer,t, and it

will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax
hereby levied, and. said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an
equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage
upon said portion of s1u ::''tract "rcnti:.L upot! ;:;-:d to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and
to be assessed upon said parcels of land is four hundred seventy-
seven and 94/100 ($477.94) dollars, or 92/100 ($0.92) dollars per
front or linear foot of abutting property, there being 519.5 feet of
abutting property within the boundaries of the lots, block and streett
above mentioned in said district, which is the total oost and cost
per front foot of said sewer, according to the contract entered into
for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with
A. A. Clark , dated the 3rd day of January, 1911, and the Treasurer
is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned:
The east side of the north 181.5 foot of the west 41.25 feet of
Lot 2, the south side of the east 33 feet of the west 74.25 feet of

ILake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of
! said city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street,
and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax ::hall become aid be delinquent in .dive equal
yearly installments, with interest on the whole spun unpaid at the rate
of ci:,: ,.,cr cent per a.n:num, payable at the time each installment is
' due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the approval of the
ordinance condirmin„ the levy of the tax for the payment for such im-
provement; one-fifth thereof in two years after such approval; one-
fifth thereof in throe years after such aprovel; one-fifth thereof
in four years after such approval; and ono-fifth thereof in five years
after such approval. One or more of ua d. installments, in the order
in which they are payable, or the whole =mixk special tax may be paid

firming the levy of the tax, without interest. In the event of any
installment or the interest aforesaid not beinpr, paid on the data the
same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the
