An ordinance amending Section 666 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, 1913, relating to appointments of deputies, assist-
ants, clerks, etc., in the office of the City Recorder.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 666 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, 1913, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read
as follows:
Seo. 666. Appointments, deputies, assistants, clerks. There
are hereby appointed in the office of the city recorder the
following deputies, assistants and clerks:
One chief deputy recorder, at a salary of sixteen hundred and
twenty (01,620) dollars per annum.
In the absence of, or during the disability of the city record-
er, the chief deputy recorder shall exercise all the functions and
powers of the city recorder. He shall give bond to the city in the
sum of one thousand ( 1,000) dollars.
Three deputy recorders, who shall act as clerks of the Motet
"city courts, at a salary of twelve hundred (01,200)
dollars each per annum.
One deputy recorder, who shall act as clerk of the city courts,
at a salary of ten hundred and eighty (01,080) dollars per annum.
One chief clerk, at a salary of fourteen hundred and forty
(01,440) per annum.
One clerk, at a salary of twelve hundred (01,200) dollars per
annum.
One stenorgapher for the recorder's office at a salary of
nine hundred (0900) dollars per annum.
Two clerks for the criminal division of the city court, at a
salary of ten hundred twenty (01,020) dollars each per annum.
All of which salaries shall be paid monthly, as are the
salaries of other officers and employes.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
