Green Stewart Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of property in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) for the purpose of constructing a sewer. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) for the purpose of constructing a sewer, to—wit: In Lot 2 of Blk. 1 and Lots 1 to 27 inclusive, and 30 to 52 inclusive, of Blk. 2 Langton Park Sub. of Blk. 76; Lots 22 to 42 inclusive of Blk. 1, and 1 to 21 inclusive of Blk. 2 of Colorado Sub. of Blk. 79; Lots 1, 4 and 5 of Blk. 80 and Lots 1 to 7 inclusive, 15, and 17 to 26 inclusive of Blk. 2 of Oakwood Sub. of Blk. 80; Lots 18 to 26 inclusive of Blk. 1 of Wilkinson's Sub. of Blk. 90, all in Plat "C", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of 1st alley west of Chicago Street from 2nd to 3rd North Streets, both sides of Ouray Ave. from 10th to llth West Streets, the north side of 2nd North Street from 1st alley west of 8th West to Chicago Streets, and from 1st alley west of Chicago Street to 9th West Street, north side of 3rd North from 9th to 10th West Streets, north side of 4th North from llth West to a point 230 feet east and the east side of 10th West from 3rd to th North Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of contract- ing a vitrified pipe sever ei?,21t (8) inches to eighteen (18) inches in diameter, including manholes, flush tanks and "Y" junctions, all complete, upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbef ore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to the entire depth of said parcels of land back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Ten Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-three and 60/100 j�" 0:;'Z ;: ($10,763.60) dollars; Five Thousand One Hundred. Twenty-seven and 30/100 ($5,127.30) dollars or Two and 11/100 (02.11) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for half rate, there being 2430 feet abutting said. improvement; PivS Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-six and 30/100 ( 5636.30) dollars or Three and 59/100 ($3.59) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for full rate, there being 1570 feet abutting said improvement, which is the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said sewer according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement with John O'Connor, Contractor, dated the 18th day of October, 1922, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for • the purposes herein mentioned; HALF RATE The east side of Lots 2 to 27 incl., the west side of Lots 1 and 31 to 52 incl., and the west side of the south 20 feet of Lot 30, Block 2, Langton Park Sub. of B1k>. 76; the north 2 .. 41, i �t u side of Lots 22 to 41 incl., the north side of the west 65 feet of Lot 42, Blk. 1, the south side of Lots 2 to 21 incl. and the south side of the west B0 feet of Lot 1, Block 2, Colorado Sub., of Blk. 79, all in Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey: FULL RATE The south side of Lot 2, Blk. 1 and the south side of the west 80.5 feet of Lot 2, Blk. 2, Langton Park Sub, of Bik. 76; the west side of Lots 15 and 1 to 7 incl., the south side of Lots 18 to 26 incl. and the south side of the east 15 feet of Lot 17, Bik. 2, Oakwood Sub., Bik. 80; the south side of the west 237 feet of the east 297 feet of Lot 1, the west side of Lots 4 and 5 of Block 80; the south side of Lots 18 to 26 incl. of Bik. 1, Wilkinson's Sub, of Blk. 90, Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shorn upon the official plats of said city to the entire depth of said parcels of land and to collect said tax. SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of this ordinance in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of con- structing a sewer upon said portions of said street, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made and returned in said com- pleted lists, and the report of the Board of Equalizati on and Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal yearly installments with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum payable at the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-tenth thereof one year after the effective date of this ordinance of levy, one-tenth thereof two years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth - 3 - i iI pi thereof three years after this ordinance becomes effective, one- tenth thereof four years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof five years after this ordinance becomes ef- fective, one-tenth thereof six years after this ordnance be- comes effective, one-tenth thereof seven years after this ordin- ance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof eight years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof nine years after this ordinance becomes effective end one-tenth thereof ten years after this ordinance becomes effective. In The event any in- stallment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are clue, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum until paid. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OP COMISSIONERS of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 388) for the purpose of constructing a sewer, to-wit: In Lots 10 to 28 incl. of Blk. 5, Thorndyke Sub. and Lots 10 to 28 incl. of Blk. 7, East Waterloo Sub., all in Blk. 4, 5-Acre Plat A and Lots 9 and 10 of Blk. 42, 10 Acre Plat A, Big Field Survey, abutting on both sides of 21st South Street from 3rd to 5th East Streets. This tax is levied to defray the abutters' portion of the expense of constructing a vitrified and concrete pipe sewer from eight e8) inches in diameter to thirty-six (36) inches in diameter, including manholes, flush tanks and "Y" junctions, all complete, upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement and it is hereby ad- judged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby 9 1^ , levied. and said parcels of Innd are hereby assessed at a unifor rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to the entire depth of said parcels of land back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Five Thousand. L. Griffith Co. and N. H. In the event any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest•are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest•at t:he rate of twelve per cent per annum until the sale of the'property assessed.
