AN ORDINANCE ;AMENDING SECTION 1241 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1920, relating to licenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of bait
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1241, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, relating to licenses, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1241. LICENSE ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR.
APPOINTMENTS. DUTIES. There is hereby created in the de-
partment of public affairs and finance the office of license
assessor and collector. The Board of Commissioners may ap-
point the following officers and employees at not exceeding
the salaries named:

One License assessor and collector . . . . 02100.00
First Grade Inspectors, each 1620.00
Second Grade Inspectors, each 1500.00
Third Grade Inspectors, each 1380.00
And such assistants, clerks or other employees
as may be necessary for the proper conduct of the license
department, at such salaries as the board may designate.
The license assessor and collector shall give a •
bond to the city in the sum of 010,000.00, conditioned upon
the faithful performance of his duties and the proper account-
ing of all funds and moneys coming into his hands or under his

control.

The board of commissioners may require any employee
of the license department to give bone in such amount as it
may designate.

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
•it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
'of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect at once
upon publication.
