passed by the Board of Gol;sessioirers on February 3rd, 1942, relat-
ing to streets.
Be it ordained by the Board or Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1246 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed
by the Board of Commissioners on inebruary >rc , 1942, rotating; to
streets, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 1246. SUPi RVICOR Of STRIJI'1K AND IEtiIIG ITION. The
board of Commissioners may appoint a competent person to the
office of supervisor of'str•eets and irrigation rdito shall re-
ceive a salary not to exceed 63720.00 per aunum (which amount
s F includes the 810.00 as provided in All No. 9, published April
23, 1943), payable monthly.
The supervisor of streets and irrigation ::hail, before he
enters upon the duties of his office, take an subscribe the
constitutional oath of office, and execute a bond with good and
sufficient sureties to be approved by the Board of Commissioners,
payable to the city, in the penal sum of p5,000.00, conditioned
for the faithful performance or the duties of his office, and
the payment of ail monies received by him as such officer, ac-
cording to law and the ordinances of the said city.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
