AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER THREE of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City 1944 pertaining to auctioneers by adding in and to said
chapter a new section to be known as Section 315, relating to the period
auction may continue.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah
SECTION 1. That Chapter Three of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City 1944 pertaining to auctioneers, be and the same is hereby amended
by adding in and to said chapter, a new section to be known as Section
315, relating to the period auction may continue, which shall read as
followsr
"SECTION 315. PERIOD AUCTION MAY CONTINUE. (A). All auction sales
shall be held on successive days, Sundays and legal holidays excepted and
shall not continue for more than fifteen (15) days during the period of any
one calendar year, except by special permission first had and obtained by
order of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah.
(B). It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or conduct any
sale of goods, wares, merchandise, jewelry or other articles of any kind
or description by public auction in Salt Lake City, Utah, except between
the hours of seven o'clock a.m. and six o'clock p.m., of any auction day.
(C). Any provision now contained in any Section of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City 1944 or amendments thereto contrary to or in
conflict with those contained in paragraphs "A" and "B" of this Section
are hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants '
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall become effective
' immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
