Chairman March 6, 1980 Mr. John Gust Superintendent of Parke 1986 West 600 South Street Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Sir: The Salt Lake City Council, at its meeting held this day, passed an ordinance- BILL NO. 12 of 1980, adding Chapter 9 to Title 27, relating to golf courses, establishing green fees. The ordinance will be published in the Deseret News March 11, 1980, and shall become effective upon publication. Yours truly, City Recorder CC: City Council Mayor Wilson Attorney --Files Recorder Report 7 City Counoi Reports 11 and 24 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Title 27 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to parks, by ADDING a new Chapter 9 thereto relating to golf courses. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City: SECTION 1. That Title 27 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to parks, be, and the same hereby is, amended by ADDING a new Chapter 9 relating to golf courses to read as follows: Sec. 27-9-1. Green fees. There is hereby imposed on any person playing golf at any of the City golf courses the following green fees: a. Nine holes - regular rate - S 3.00 b. Eighteen holes - regular_ rate - 5.50 c. Nine holes - senior citizen rate - 1.00 d. Season pass - regular rate - 175.00 f. Season pass - senior citizen rate - 87.50 Sec. 27-9-2. Senior. citizens. A senior citizen shall he any person 65 years of age or older. The senior citizen rate established by Section 27-9-1(c) of these Revised Ordinances shall be in effect for play on any day excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays at Forest Dale and Nibley Park only. Senior citizens playing golf on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday shall pay the regular rate as established by Section 27- 9-1(a) or (b) of these Revised Ordinances, as appropriate. Sec. 27-9-3. Season pass. A season pass, including a senior citizen's season pass, shall entitle the holder thereof to play golf on any city golf course on any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday. Any season pass holder desiring to play golf on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday shall pay the regular green fee established by Section 27-9-1(a) or (h) of these Revised Ordinances, as appropriate. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the health, peace and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the date of its first publication.
