An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on both sides of all streets from A Street to N Street, inclusive,
except C and J Streets, between South Temple and First Streets, in
Paving Districts Nos. 24 and 30, for the purpose of providing for
the curbirg and guttering thereof.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Ld&e City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
described in Lots 1 and 4, Block 14; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 13; 2 and
3, Block 12; 1 and. 4, Block 11; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 10; 1, 2, 3 and
4, Block 9; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 8; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 7; 1, 2, 3
and 4, Block 6; 2 and 3, Block 5; 1 and 4, Block 4; 1, 2, 3 and 4,
Block 3; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 2; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 1, Plat "D";,
and 2 and 3, Block 8, Plat "G", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on
both sides of all streets from A Street to N Street, inclusive, ex-
cept C and J Streets, between South Temple and First Streets, in
Paving Districts Nos. 24 and 30, said property having a frontage of
7,920 feet along said streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of curbing and gutter-
ing with cement (said gutter to be thirty (30) inches wide) said
portions of said streets opposite the property hereinafter described
to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it
is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will be
especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby
levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and
uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said
portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five
(25) feet bac* therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be
assessed upon said parcels of land is nine thousand nine hundred
( 9,900.00) dollars, or one and 25/100 ( 1.25) dollars per front or
linear foot, which is the estimated total cost and estimated-cost
per linear foot of said curb and gutter, and the Treasurer is hereby

authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the pro/islons
of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned:
Fronting on A Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 14;
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 13.
Fronting on B Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 13,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 12.
Fronting on D Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 11,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 10.
Fronting on E Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 10,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 9.
Fronting on F Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 9,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 8.
Fronting on G Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 8,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 7.
Fronting on H Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 7,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 6.
Fronting on I Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 6,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 6.
Fronting on K Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 4,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 3.
Fronting on L Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 3,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 2.
Frontirg on IL Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 2,
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 1.
Fronting on N Street:
All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 1, Plat "D";
All of Lots 2 and 3, Block 8, Plat "G", Salt Lake City Survey,.

as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a
depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and to col-
. lect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six (6 )
equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall be-
e me delinquent one month'after;toe approval of this ordinance; one-
sixth thereof in one yeat after such approval; one-sixth thereof in
two 'years after such app-roval, one-sixth thereof ;ice three years af-
ter such approval, oneosixth thereof in four "years after such appro-
a l, and one-sixth theretof in five years after siu=h approval. Each
and every its tallment of sai(1 tax except, the first,; shall draw in-
teret at the rate of six per cent per annum from date of levy until
delinquent, and each and every installment of said tax shall bear
interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum from and after its
date of delinquency.
SECTION 3. This errdinence shall take effect upon approval.
