AN ORDIIIILSCE Tdh and for the assessment of pro-
perty on Seventh Nest, Seventh to Ninth South streets in Paving
District No. 29 (Curb & Gutter ;:tension ilo. 08) for the urpose of
providing for the grading, curbing and guttering thereof, construct-
ing waterways to carry water along aryl across streets and intersec-
tions, constructing storm sewers private driveway.
BE IT ORDAIN'1) by 'die Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the _Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District
No. 29 (Curb & Gutter L'xtension 1To. 08) for the purpose of providing
for the grading, curbing and guttering thereof, constructing water-
ways to carry water along anu across streets and intersections, con-
structing storm sewers and crivate driveway, to-wit: of Sub.
In Lots 4 & 5 of Blk. 11; Lots 1 & 28 to 08 incl. of 81k. 1
of the asst half of Blk. 10, Lots 1 & 52 of 31k. 4, Lots 1 & 52 of
Blk. 5, Albert Pl. Sub. of slk. 0, Lots 26 & 27, Cummings ±. Sub.
Lots 5 and 4 of Blk. 2 Plat C, BrAt Lake City Survey, abutting on
both sides of Seventh 'lest, Seventh to Ninth South streets, Salt
Lake City, Utah.
This tax is levied to defray the exo ens° of grading,
curbing and guttering thereof, constructing waterways to carry

!;water along and across streets and intersections, constructing
'„storm sewers and private driveway (said grading to be 92 feet
(between curbs with park 44 feet wide in the center of said street)
jithe portions of said street opposite the property hereinbefore
;and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited
iby said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and
„established that said property will be especially benefited there-
by to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels'
of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in
':accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of
;said street, fronting upon and to a depth of fifty (50) feet back
therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said
parcels of land. is Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-seven and'
::50/100 (015,227.50) dollars; Fifteen Thousand. One Hundred. Eighty,-
seven and 50/100 (415,187.50) dollars or Six and 25/100 ($6.25)
::dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for ninety-
,two foot roadway with forty-four foot park, there being 2430
feet of abutting property within the boundaries of the lots,
„blocks and street above mentioned in said district, and Forty
(*40.00) dollars for private driveway, there being one private
driveway, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said
improvement, according to the contract entered into for the per
formance of said work and making said improvement with Strange
I,& Vallandingham, Contractors, dated the 22d day of Larch, 1920,
:and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess,
in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the pur-
pose herein mentioned.:

The west side of the south 7 feet of Lot 5 and the
west side of the north 68 feet of Lot 4 of Bloch 2, Plat C,
1 Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shonan upon the official
plats of the city to a depth of fifty (50) feet tack from said
street and to collect said tax.
SECTION II. Said tax shall become and be delinquent
in five, equal yearly installments , w-ith interest on the whole .
sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at
the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one
year after the ord nance confirming the levy of the tsx for the ,
payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-fifth there-
of in two years after said ord nonce bec ones effective; one-fifth
thereof in three years after said ordinance becomes effective;
one-fifth thereof in four year s after saia ordinance becomes
! effective and one-fifth thereof in five years after said ordin-
ance becomes effective. One or more of said installments in the:
I, order in which they are payable or the whole special tax, may be
paid at any time within ten days after the ordinance ccnfirm-
ing the levy of the tax bec ones effective without interest. In
. the event of any installment or the interest aforesaid not being,
paid on the date the same Sec ones due, the whole amount of the
special tax unpaid at the time said installment aoa interest are
due, shall bec one due and payn ale, ana shall draw interest at the
rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale of the property ;
assessed; provided, one or more installments, in the order in
which they are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid, may be
paid on the day any installment becones due, oy paying the amount

thereof and interest to said date.
SECTIOE III. This ordinance shall take effect one
day after its first publication.
