AN ORDINANCE VACATING a 10-foot east-west alley between 13th South and
California Avenue and Glendale Street and the Jordan River.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the 10-foot east-west alley between 13th South and
California Avenue and Glendale Streetand the Jordan River, more particularly
described as follows, be, and the same hereby is, vacated and declared no
longer to be public property for use as a street, avenue, alley, or pedes-
trian way:
Beginning at the Southwest corr}er of lot 1, Block 8, Burlington
Place Addition, a Subdivision of Section 11, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., Salt
Lake Base and Meridian and running thence East to the West line of
the Jordan River; thence Southwesterly along said West line of the
Jordan River to the Northeast corner of Lot 8, said Block 8; thence f' ",
West to the Northwest corner of lot 10, said Block 8; thence North
10 feet to the point of beginning.
Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights
of way and easements of all public utilities of any and every des-
cription now located on, in, under, or over the confines of the
above described property, and also subject to the rights of entry
thereon for the purpose of maintaining, altering, repairing, replac-
ing, removing, or rerouting said utilities and all of them,
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is neces-
sary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City,
that this Ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 9th
day of October, 1975.
