A N ORDINANCE.
An ordinance amending and re-enacting Rule J of Section 517 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, as amended by an ordinance amending;
Section 517 of Chapter XXXV of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City,
passed June 30, 1905, and approved July 5, 1905.
Be it ordained by the city council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
That Rule J of Section 517 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, as amended by an Ordinance amending Section 517 of Chapter XXXV of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, passed June 30, 1905, and approved
July 5, 1905, be and the same hereby is amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
Rule J. All changes in the direction of the drain shall be made
with curved pipe and all connections with Y. branches and one-eighth bends.
Sanitary tees are prohibited except in vertical pipes. Combination clean-
out fittings and one-quarter bends are prohibited. Off-set fittings may
be trd, butt no off-set,shall pe over six (6) inches. If an off-set is over
six (0) mopes `a one-eighth b.evad must be used •
