AN ORDINANCE.
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of
property on Almond Street between First North Street and Second
North Street, in Paving District No. 30, for the purpose of grading,
and curbing, and constructing sidewalk thereon.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District No. 30, for
the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing, and constructing
sidewalk thereon, towit:
In Lots 1 and 3 to 8, inclusive, Block 6, Plat 'E", Salt Lake
City Survey, on the west side of Almond Street between First North
and Second North Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, curbing
with cement, and constructing cement sidewalk four (4) feet wide and
four (4) inches thick on that portion of said street opposite the
property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be esr_ecially affect-
ed and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, deter-
mined and established that said property will be especially benefited
thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of
land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with
the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street fronting upon
and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax here-
by levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Nine hundred
forty-one and 45/100 (0941.45) dollars, or one and 12743/100,008i
(yrl.12743) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property, there
being 8:5.04 feet abutting said portion of said im>srovement within the
boundaries of the lots, block and street above mentioned in said district,
which is the total cost; and cost per front Toot of said i.mrroveaeent,
according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work
and. making said improvement, with J. B. idullins, dated the 23d day of
July, 1913, and the Treasurer is hereby authorised and directed to
assess, in accordance with the provisions
