Mr. Chairman AN ORDINANCE Result --- ,./7— .__ — AN ORDINANCE VACATING 8th North Street between 8th West Street and the right of way of the North and South Freeway, petitioners representing 100% of the abutting owners whose names appear as record property owners in the office of the County Recorder. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1 . That 8th North Street between 8th West Street and the right of way of the North and South Freeway, more particularly described as follows, be, and the same hereby is, vacated and declared no longer to be public property for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way: "Commencing at the southwest corner of Block 111, P'at "C", Salt Lake City Survey; thence east along the north side of 8th North Street 354 feet to the westerly boundary of the State Road Commission right of way; thence southeasterly along said boundary 145.46 feet to the south side of 8th North Street; thence west along the south side of 8th North Street, 415 feet to the northwest corner of Block 106, Plat "C", Salt Lake City Survey; thence north 132.02 feet to the place of beginning." Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities of any and every description now located in, on, under or over the confines of the above described property, and also subject to the rights of entry thereon for the altering or rerouting said utilities and all of them. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this ordinance become effectively immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
