Greener Harmsen Harrison ;' +a ji" Phillips .1U1 Result AN ORDINANCE I., AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY. WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, Petition No. 378 of 1974, by Sharp Construction Company, et al.; and WHEREAS, the said petition is signed by a majority of the owners of the real property and the owners of more than one-third in value of all the real property, as shown by the last assessment rolls, situated in the tract hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the said petitioner has caused an accurate plat or map to be made and certified to by competent surveyors and approved by the City Engineer to be filed with the City Recorder; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, after examin- ing said petition of said owners of said tract of land, and considering the circumstances thereof, voted by unanimous vote of all members of said Board to annex said tract of land to Salt Lake City and directed that an ordinance should be passed annexing said territory and extending the city limits of Salt Lake City accordingly. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: SECTION 1. That the city limits of Salt Lake City be, and the same hereby are, enlarged and extended so as to include the following described tract of land in Salt Lake County, to-wit: Beginning at a point on the East line of Redwood Road (1700 West) , said point being South 117.83 feet and East 56.84 feet from the North 1/4 corner of Section 22, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Salt hake Base and Meridian and running thence S 0°04'26" W along said East line of Redwood Road 231.48 feet to the North Right of Way line of State Highway No. 201 (21st South Freeway) ; thence along said North line as follows: 4-'6; N $8°41' E 82.00 feet to a point of a 2914.79 foot radius curve to the right; thence Easterly along the arc of said curve 487.53 feet to a point of tangency; thence South 81°44' E 431.27 feet to a point of a 5729.58 foot radius curve to the left; thence Easterly along the arc of said curve 481.67 feet; thence S 86°39'18" E 497.56 feet; thence N 88°46'11" E 700.00 feet; thence N 87° 13'41" E 1080.65 feet to the West Easement line of the .24 -2- Jordan River; thence leaving said North Right of Way line N 41°54'55" W along said West Easement line 145.29 feet to a point of. a 1140.00 foot radius curve to the right; thence Northwesterly along the arc of said curve and West line 99.36 feet to a point of tangency; thence N 36°55'17" W along said West line 184.08 feet to the south line of the present Salt Lake City limit line; thence West along said South City limit line 3478.77 feet to the point of beginning. Contains 28.243 Acres. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND DECLARED that the whole of the above described property be, and the same hereby is, zoned as Commercial "C-3A" classification. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND DECLARED that when this ordinance takes effect the said parcel of land above described shall thenceforth be within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City and shall be zoned as a Commercial "C-3A" District, as herein provided, and all ordinances, jurisdictions, rules and obligations of or pertaining to Salt Lake City are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to the said tract of land, and the streets, blocks, alleys and public ways of said tract shall be controlled and governed by the ordinances, rules and regulations of said city pertaining thereto, and the monuments of the City Engineer shall thenceforth be taken therein as the standards of locations and distances. SECTION 2. Upon the passage of this ordinance, the City Recorder of Salt Lake City shall file, and he is hereby directed to file, with the County Recorder of Salt Lake County, a copy of the map or plat above mentioned, duly certified and acknowledged as provided in such cases, together with a certified copy of this ordinance. SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
