AN OEDINANCS . An ordinance levying a tax upon the property abutting on both. sides of State Street from the south side of North Temple Street to the south side of Second North Street; on both sides of First North Street from the oast side of east Temple Street to the cen- ter of State Street; on both sides of West Canyon Street from the center of State Street to the south side of Second North Street; and on both sides of Hillside Avenue from the east side of State Street to the west side of 'West Canyon Street, in Paving District No. 22, for the purpose of _providing for the grading, guttering and curbing, end paving thereof. Be it ordeincd by the City Council of 3z.it Lake City, Utah: S,CTICN 1. That said. Council does hereby levy o :boa and pro- vide for the assessment upon the real property hereinafter described abutting on both sides of State Street from the south side of North Temple Street to the south side of Second North Street; on both sides of First North Street from the. east side of Last Temple Street to the center of State Street; on both sides of West Canyon Street from the center of State Street to the south side of Second North Street; and on both sides of Hillside Avenue from the east side of State Street to the west side of West Canyon Street, in Paving Dis- trict No. 22, in Salt Lake City, Utah. This tax is levied to defray the expense of gradin<;, „uttering and curbing with cement, and paving with macadam (said macadam pave- ment to be thirty (50) feet wide between curbs and nine (2) inches thick), State Street from the south side of North Temple Street to the south side of Second North Street, First North Strout iron tee cast side of mast Temple Street to the center o1 State Street, West Canyon Street from the center of State Street to the south side of Second North Street, and. Hillside Avenge from the oaot side of State Street to the west side of 'West Canyon Street, in said Davin Dis- trict No. 22, and. it is herody adjudged, deterained and established that the gr_din ., gutterin:; and curbing, and pevin:; of said streets ,25 • -t- will thereby benefit the property abutting thereon, ane hereinafter described, to the full amount of the estimated coot thereof. Said property is to be assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets. Th-e cost and expense of mekin,; said improvement is estiact©d at three ( ;3.kk) dollars per linear front foot, end the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said property is throe ('r3.00) dollars per linear front foot abutting on said portions of said streets, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess said • property, and to collect said tax in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose heroin mentioned. Tint the entire amount of tax co levied and assessed on said property may be paid by the owner of said property, or the entire eoual proportion o_ s_id tax upon any piece of property may be paid. by any person on any part thereof within 'fifty (50) days from said levy, and thereafter such pieces or portions of property affect- ed by this tax shall be exempt from any lien or charge therefor. 3E0TION 4.
